He started his football journey in futsal at the EPLA school before catching the attention of the renowned Valencia CF academy, where he first donned their shirt at the tender age of seven.

Torres’s ascent in the footballing world was nothing short of meteoric. In what felt like a blink of an eye, he progressed through the ranks and made his debut for Valencia’s first team. On December 16, 2017, he became the first player born in this century to grace the La Liga competition when he faced Eibar. Just a few days earlier, on November 30, he had already made his official debut in a Copa del Rey game against Zaragoza.

Adapting swiftly to life among the footballing elite, Ferran Torres assumed an increasingly prominent role in the Valencia squad with each passing season. In the second half of the 2017/18 campaign, as well as in 2018/19 and 2019/20, he made 97 appearances and found the net on nine occasions.

From Valencia to Manchester City:

Torres’s outstanding performances attracted the attention of Manchester City and their esteemed manager, Pep Guardiola. After spending his entire career at Valencia, the talented winger embarked on a new chapter in the Premier League, even transitioning from a winger to a center forward. It was in England that he gained a reputation as a prolific goalscorer, tallying 11 goals in 30 games during his debut season in 2020/21, which culminated in Manchester City clinching both the league title and the League Cup.

Commencing his second season with the Sky Blues, 2021/22, Torres showcased his prowess with four appearances and two goals before making a move to FC Barcelona in December 2021.

In his first full season with Barça, the versatile striker played a pivotal role in the team’s triumph in the league, scoring a crucial goal in the victory over Atlético Madrid that secured an 11-point lead for Barcelona.

On the international stage, Torres has represented the Spanish national team with distinction. He participated in Euro 2020, held in the summer of 2021, where his two goals propelled Spain to the semi-finals. In the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, Torres again found the back of the net twice as Spain advanced to the last 16.
