Salma Paralluelo is not just a forward. She is a phenomenon. The Barcelona forward has been one of the most promising players in the Catalan club’s dominant performance in recent years, winning a continental treble in her first season and combining her football career with her athletics career. She is widely regarded as one of the best young forwards in the world, and one of the most versatile players in the game.

Born in Zaragoza, Spain, Salma Paralluelo started playing football at a young age, inspired by her father and brother. She joined San José’s academy, where she played with boys until she was 14. She then moved to Zaragoza CFF, where she made her senior debut at 15, and scored 17 goals in 68 appearances.

In 2019, she signed for Villarreal, where she spent three seasons. She continued to score goals for the Valencian club, helping them achieve promotion to the Primera División in 2021. She has scored 23 goals in 37 appearances for Villarreal, making her one of the most prolific forwards in the club’s history.

In 2022, she signed for Barcelona, where she has been ever since. She adapted quickly to Barcelona’s style of play, and became a regular starter for the team. She plays as a forward who can also operate on the wings or as an attacking midfielder. She is known for her power, pace, dribbling, finishing, and versatility. She has scored four goals in five appearances for Barcelona, making her one of the most influential forwards in the club’s history.

With Barcelona, she won a continental treble in her first season, winning the league, the cup, and the Champions League. She scored two goals in that Champions League campaign, helping Barcelona beat Roma 1-0 in the quarter-finals and Wolfsburg 3-2 in the final. She also scored two goals in the league, helping Barcelona clinch their seventh consecutive league title.

On the international stage, Salma Paralluelo has been a regular for Spain since 2018, earning six caps and scoring no goals. She has played in one major tournament with Spain: the 2021 Euro. She has also had success with Spain’s U-17 and U-19 youth categories. She has won two UEFA Youth Championships – one each with Spain’s U-17s and U-19s – and has been runner-up in two FIFA Youth Women’s World Cups – one each with Spain’s U-17s and U-19s.

Salma Paralluelo is now preparing for her second World Cup with Spain, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand later this month. She is expected to be one of the stars of the tournament, and to showcase her skills on the world stage. She has already achieved everything there is to achieve at club level, but she still has one dream left: to win a trophy with her country.

Salma Paralluelo is not just a forward. She is also an athlete. She began her athletics career at San José Athletics club in Zaragoza and later joined Scorpio-71 club in Zaragoza and Playas de Castellón. She specializes in the 400-meter sprint and has won several medals at national and international level.

She won her first medal at the 2019 Spanish Indoor Athletics Championships, winning bronze in the 400-meter test with a mark of 53.83s, a Spanish national record in the sub-18 and sub-20 categories. She also won silver at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships and bronze at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships.

She has combined her football and athletics careers successfully, balancing training sessions and competitions with both disciplines. She has received support from both Barcelona and Villarreal for her dual career, as well as from her coaches and teammates.
